“Our third child was born at Medicover this morning. Basically, it was the most attractive of the private institutions, and Dr. Miklós Arnold Csóka, who delivered our previous children, works in the Medicover network, so it was easy to get permission to have him deliver the baby, as the doctor of choice. We started with labor induction, because we came from quite far away, and due to the circumstances of the pregnancy (diabetes, hashimoto’s, a lot of amniotic fluid and unstable position) we did not dare to take the risk to start spontaneously and possibly having the baby born on the highway, because the third child will be born very fast. Or so we thought.

In comparison, the young lady did us dirty, from the delivery that started at 10:00, the amniotomy was only possible at 20:30, her cranium was so unstable. After a strong labor, it was decided at 23:45 that there would be a c-section. It was only after the extraction that it became clear why the vaginal delivery did not go well, there was a real knot on the umbilical cord. Then came the next cold shower; it was difficult to get the baby to start breathing. Professional obstetric work was replaced here by professional neonatology care. If there was even a glimmer of doubt in my mind beforehand about whether it was worth choosing the larger package, it was gone. The work and reaction time of the team, and their cooperation with the obstetrics team, were quite amazing. I am convinced that neither my wife nor my little daughter would have left the delivery room in the case of a birth that started in a less prepared hospital. After an hour of observation and extra oxygen, however, a perfect baby lies between us, for which I am very grateful to the Medicover team.

For me, professionalism was the priority, formality always takes a back seat. If, after such a level of work, we were told that we would sleep on a bed of straw in the basement, I wouldn’t have cared much, but I would like to note that the cleanliness, the equipment of the rooms, and the food simply match the quality of a hotel.”
